The User Problem
Currently, the user while planning a trip does not get a single platform for building their itinerary while also making transport arrangements for every leg of their travel. They have to make use of multiple apps to book different modes of transport.
TravelCo. allows users to book Multimodal Transportation for different legs of travel through one App. This single app will provide an integration of different services to make bookings after creating a suitable itinerary. Users can track their trip & also receive notifications for each leg of their travel.

The whole design of this product is trying to create a friendly, clear and easy to follow layout with light and bright color. Therefore, I’ve chosen certain color template for TravelCo.

Usability Test Result
What worked?

The users liked the concept of the app. They felt using an app like TravelCo. will save time while planning trips as the bookings will be taken care without the users having to worry about it.

They also liked that the trip can be shared with other people who can track the progress of the trip.

They found that the app was easy to use and navigate. Also, they clearly understood the purpose and usage of the app.

Overall they liked the look & feel of the app.
What didn't work?

They said there were not placeholders in the Itinerary builder page, due to which they got little confused.

Another user said that he could not see any option to add the number of travelers.

The users were not able to identify the clickable icons on the itinerary page as they were the icons of cabs and flights. Due to this they could not see that they can change the flights and cabs (if they did not like the time and prices of the cab and flights chosen for them) selected for them by default.
Recommendations : What could be improved?
I received and implemented some useful recommendations from the users like-

Placeholders should be added in the Itinerary builder page so that users can know what they should add in the blank spaces

There should be a better way to let the users know that the Cab and flight icons are clickable. I plan to add buttons, so that users can know they can change the cab or flight and select another.

To add a page to select the number of travelers, as by default, the booking is made for a single traveler.
Moving Forward
There is still lot to explore with TravelCo. Some features that I'd like to add in future:

Include information about transit Visa requirements for layover countries.

Lounge and luggage storage assistance

Improved UI for the app for smooth user experience

Feature to store and select from past itineraries.

Add customer support feature for resolution of customer problems
